Qigong came into my life as one of those practices that you don’t expect to shift everything - but it does. I started with a curiosity, looking for something gentle yet powerful that I could offer to my clients and explore for myself. What I found was a whole new way of being in my body.
Before the training, I was used to pushing - doing more, striving harder. But Qigong showed me what it means to move with awareness rather than effort, to notice the spaces between breaths, and to let movement come from a quieter place. That one idea, effort and ease in balance - has changed not just how I teach, but how I live.
I used to get caught up in doing things “right,” especially when teaching. But through Qigong, I learned to trust what my body knows and to teach from that place. Letting go of perfection made everything easier - more honest, more connected, more human.
What I love about Qigong is how accessible it is. You don’t need to be flexible, strong, or experienced - you just need to show up. And I’ve seen again and again how powerful that can be, especially for people who feel left out of traditional fitness spaces.
I work with a range of people, and my hope is to bring Qigong into more everyday spaces - local classes in my community, outdoor sessions when the weather allows, and eventually online offerings for those who prefer to move at home. The goal is simple: to help people feel more at home in their bodies and more connected to something steady and calm within themselves.
This practice has given me a lot. I’m here to share it in a way that feels real, supportive, and grounded.
